Ryan Seacrest continued to host American Idol as it moved to ABC this past spring, premiering on March 11th, 2018. Having been the host and master of ceremonies since the beginning of the series, who else could have run the show?
Ryan Seacrest is involved in a huge number of activities, ranging from philanthropy to other media such as radio and lifestyle enterprises.
In his philanthropic efforts, he supports youth-oriented activities that have national impact. He heads the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which is responsible for Seacrest Studios which are broadcast media centers opened in pediatric hospitals across the nation. Ryan Seacrest is a board member of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and was appointed an honorary chair of the Grammy Foundation.
While continuing to host American Idol, Ryan Seacrest is also continuing to host the On Air with Ryan Seacrest, a nationally syndicated radio show as well as Live with Kelly and Ryan. He is also the head of Ryan Seacrest Productions, which produces a number of E! shows, among them Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Live From the Red Carpet during awards shows. Ryan Seacrest Productions also produces content for Bravo, CMT, YouTube, NBC, and Netflix, as well as having been responsible for the reality series Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.
The producer has appeared in movies playing both versions of himself and other characters. He plays himself in New Year’s Eve and Get Smart, as well as a parody version of himself in Knocked Up. He also voiced a characters in Shrek Forever After.
His voice is a familiar thing to hear during all sorts of big-name brand commercials, including Ford and Coca-Cola.
